Busy Again...

What a week it's been so far... I've been running (well okay - driving actually) around like the Australian proverbial blue-arsed fly in weather that's been hot, humid & draining... then today it just started raining as the remains of a tropical cyclone wandered down the east coast from Queensland & dumped its excess water on us. Fortunately, that's also dropped the temperature to a more liveable level - Monday's heat & humidity just about did me in...

Lots of work for this week so far & tomorrow I have 9 different places to see, then whenever I get home from those, 9 plans to scale, annotate, draw &, in some cases, estimate. I should have all that finished in time to leave for Friday's jobs. Sleep? Maybe on Sunday...

To think that a few weeks ago I was complaining about the absence of work... Am I never happy?!?

What a day... off to the monthly Vegan Markets, then out into the western suburbs to look at 2nd cars - yes, the time seems to have come when we need one, as L-SP is kind of housebound during the day when I'm out driving to various places for measures

We came close to coming home with a new car, but managed to withstand the pressure from 3(!!??!!) used car salesmen who desperately wanted us to buy a car that was pretty good, but a few thousand overpriced for what it was. We may get time tomorrow to go & see a similar one that has less on the clock & a smaller number on the pricetag...

Home via the Mosman Hotel for a steak & Guinness dinner... hang on, didn't I say we'd been to the Vegan Markets earlier today? Well, yes we had, but that doesn't mean we've gone Vegan - just that we like some of the foods...
