I'd just like to say thank you to my contacts, friends & readers here on Dreamwidth. Your comments & support are half the reason I write & post what I do & I value the feedback - & love the little dopamine hit from a new comment on an entry!!

I continued to cross-post to LJ after the auto-cross feature stopped - copying & pasting everything across... only to find that, despite having more 'Friends' over there, nobody comments, or interacts. If I wanted to scream into a void, there are some nearby coastal cliffs I can go yell at the top of... So I'm no longer posting to LJ, simply because I feel no connection any more, after close to 20 years of being there

LJ owned by Russian oligarch, who pay money to shoot down LJ, because Putin doesn’t want to have it in modern fascist Russia… I moved from LJ to Facebook many years ago and after that closed my Facebook account simply because of Mark Zuckerberg policy…

Never signed up to Facebook... never wanted to because I didn't see any value in its format. Still don't, especially now after it's been revealed as nothing but a giant library of personal details & data

The LJ-Russia problem is one I've struggled with in the years since its sale & the Kremlin's warmongering behaviour - Georgia, Crimea, Ukraine... who's next? I'm glad the solution has been provided for me not by global politics, rather by social neglect

Are all the Russian oligarchs on Putin's side though...?

I vaguely remember that I first found your account here on Dreamwidth rather than LiveJournal, which is why I comment here rather than there. I still cross-post the way you describe, but it does seem as though LiveJournal is becoming less and less populated.

All the Friends I had when I first joined LJ are now gone - a lot went to Facebook when it started, others just atrophied & disappeared, the last went during the last 2 Russian invasions - Georgia & Crimea/Ukraine (I first came to Dreamwidth when LJ went to Russia completely), though, to be fair, there are a few of them here on DW, but they don't post as often as they used to... My search for new people to interact with on LJ since, has yielded some interesting people, but no sense of community, or conversation sparked by an entry. I love expanding on stuff in the comments section, or looking at things differently via someone else's view...

Well, less time spent over there means more time here, so expect a lot more interaction on my part too!
