A couple of photos from the last couple of months...
Night sky outside Orange NSW... Not a great night for long-exposure astral photography - the moon was a bit too bright & there were rainclouds about. This was taken looking down our little valley, between the large trees at the end. There's one of the Magellanic Clouds in there if you look closely, though Long-Suffering Partner got a better shot of it!!
And closer to home...
Bella... our little lion
The funeral on Friday was... okay. Some of the 'eulogies' were more about the person giving it, than the late lady lying nearby & there was a bit too much preaching from the Minister for our liking, but it wasn't our funeral, so we can't complain... I told a couple of short anecdotes from her time with both of us, then read a poem written by her nephew, which he'd asked me to do, as he wasn't comfortable with public speaking & it seemed to go down well. We attended the Wake at the Bowling Club where the lady had been boss of the bar both L-SP & I had worked at, stayed a couple of hours , then left to take our rostered turn feeding the stray cat colony across town - as good an excuse as any!
The job interview earlier in the day was a bit nothing really - turned out to not be a job I particularly want &, as hinted in my Friday Five entry, I'm pleased to not be in a situation where I'd have been desperate to get it, just because of the not-quite-enough-money it offered...
Today seems to be a little catch-up day... with the photo backlog, with some CDs to copy to the iPod, with some minor domestic duties & some finished plans & reports to deliver... Not necessarily in that order

Date: 2021-11-28 06:17 am (UTC)As noted, it wasn't a good night for star photos... It's very faint in this shot - about 2/3s to the right & about 1/3 down. I'll have to convince L-SP to post hers - much clearer!!!
