1. What would your perfect cosy day be like?
I have several scenarios - most of which involve a rainy day outside, a good red wine, my Long-Suffering Partner, Bella the Cat & a good book/movie/TV binge
2. If you had a week to do anything at all, what would you do?
Road trip, photography... repeat
3. Do you like dressing up? What is your 'fashion aesthetic'?
I'm not one for fancy dress... these days I don't even like wearing a business, or dinner suit. My Hippie/Goth/Cowboy aesthetic is cuban-heel boots, black jeans & long-sleeve shirt, with concessions to weather or activity (t-shirt, Chuck Taylor trainers, winter coat)
4. Do you pamper yourself or do self-care? What do you do?
Not really... I don't do day-spas, manicures, facials etc... Shave & Shampoo Day, when the 2 activities land on the same day, is as close as I'd get to any kind of regimen
5. What is your favorite comfort read, or comfort movie/tv show to watch?
Book: Any Discworld novel by Terry Pratchett, or once a year 'Mystery' by Peter Straub
Movie: 'The Outlaw Josey Wales', or if it's L-SP & me 'The Grand Budapest Hotel'
TV show: 'The Fast Show', Boston Legal, QI, '8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown' 'Firefly'

Date: 2021-11-13 10:36 pm (UTC)I deliberately interpreted the 'self-care/pampering' question in a physical way - beauty treatments, appearance etc... but 'internal' self-care is probably more important, albeit a bit much to explain in a Friday Five questionnaire... I don't really have a set regimen for it either, but I do find myself more aware of how things really affect me these days, instead of just brushing it off & pretending everything's fine, carry on... which in turn, makes me a bit more thoughtful about whatever I commit myself to, or have plans for. Downtime has become more of a priority & more valuable & I'm trying to not feel guilty about 'doing nothing' as I've decided if there are things that I really should be doing, I'll do them when my mind says it's time to do them, not when outside influence, or pressure orders me to...
