Anyone for tennis?



After dropping L-SP off at an appointment today, I had a little time to fill before picking her up again & found my way down to White City - not a Caucasian enclave, but the former Sydney international tennis centre, now mostly disused, apart from a couple of courts being used to teach tennis to under 10s. The centre court grandstand has certainly seen better days...



Dinner with friends tonight, now home & pottering around before bed...

I don’t know why, but when I see this kind of former I feel depressed...

I can understand that... All that effort to build the place, all that fun & activity, all those years ago & now it's being left to rust & be reclaimed by Nature

On my way out of there, I found a Development Notice saying the place was going to be knocked down. According to what I found on the 'net, they're going to build a new multi-sport centre. But I will place my bet on it turning into a bunch of apartments

And that makes me depressed!!
