1) Do you like to drive?
I really do... The jobs I've had for the last 17 years or so, have all been 'on the road' jobs, rather than in an office, or just one location. Long-Suffering Partner loves to drive as well, but fortunately, she's a much better passenger than me. Whenever I'm in the passenger seat for too long, I get bored & don't know what to do. That's when I start doing things like pretending to fall out of the door... on the highway...

2) Do you own (or have regular use of) a car? What kind is it?
I've always had a car. The first one I owned was a Suzuki Sierra. My favourite was a V8 Ford sedan & our current one is a Hyundai Tucson AWD

3) What is your favorite optional feature on a car?
4-wheel drive... or powered windows that can all be controlled by the driver

4) How much does gasoline currently cost where you live?
Premium diesel is currently about AUD$1.30 per litre. For USA readers, that translates to about a quarter of a gallon, so roughly AUD$5.20 per gallon?

5) What is the longest car trip you have taken?
In 2012 L-SP & I hired a Ford Escape in San Francisco & drove it to New York City via 26 States. Total miles: 6,900... or 11,104 kilometres. Told you I like driving!!

Man, I haven't been on DW for a bit, time to catch up!

1. I don't like or dislike driving; it's a necessity. I have gone on drives for fun, and I've taken long distance drives for vacations and things. I can sleep in the car if I'm not active, and I've driven for 9 hours straight without pause (aside from pee and gas). So... ambivalent.

2. Yes, it is necessary where I live. I have a 2015 Honda Accord.

3. This sounds dumb, but I have a lot of music CDs that I like and I enjoy the option to just pop in a CD and let it run. I know, most cars now have USB ports so you can plug in your iPod or what not. I like old fashioned CDs.

4. $US 2.70/gallon at the moment, give or take a bit from town to town and station to station.

5. Drove from NJ, USA west to Yellowstone park across a northern pass and then back across a more southern route. I believe just over 5000 miles.
