waitingmanA few measures today... starting at 8am, with everything wrapped up by about 4.30. They've given me 2 to do tomorrow (Saturday), but at least I can get them done early, then proceed with our plan to have brunch lunch with a friend over in Surry Hills...
Other than that... nothing really. We had dinner at a favourite French restaurant last night & may have over-ordered a little... I certainly felt like one of the characters from La Grande Bouffe afterwards & wasn't even remotely hungry again until around midday today - & even then just a small sandwich will do, thanks

Date: 2021-03-06 06:56 am (UTC)The worst dreams I have these days usually involve giant spiders that are angry at me for some reason... though I'm always sure I didn't do anything to them!!. That may just be a natural consequence of living in Australia... where we have plenty of large, angry spiders that can kill you

Date: 2021-03-06 10:05 pm (UTC)I live in the area of Sydney that is supposed to be Funnel-Web Spider Central - & we have large gardens at the front & back of the house, but I've never seen one here. We've had red-backs, huntsmen, orb-weavers & white-tails inside the house, but no funnel-webs yet. I've become pretty good at catching & releasing most of those guys, but I do kill the red-backs, as they're aggressive little buggers - the others are quite passive. I've been bitten by a huntsman & by an orb-weaver, but both were accidental... I put my hand on the huntsman in the dark, so it was probably more surprised than I was & the orb weaver had found a nice cosy home in the trousers I put on. No - it didn't bite me there - he got my finger as I was zipping up!!
At any given time, our home plays host to at least a dozen Daddy Long-Legs spiders, but they're harmless to humans & help keep the flies & mosquitos under control... as well as, apparently, catching other spiders!
As for the bathroom... well...
