Now there's intrigue, conjecture &, yes, conspiracy theories around the actual numbers of people infected by & dead from the new Corona virus...

It's a Chinese Communist plot to eradicate the Western, Capitalist dogs... (& bats, chickens, pigs...) so that China will rule the world!!

My coworkers tend to not follow the news, so just this week I was explaining Corona virus to other adults.

My mother & sister are like that... no idea what's going on in the world outside their bubble. They were shocked, back in December, when I casually mentioned the fires raging south of Sydney... they had no idea... This, from the family that, when my Father was alive, would watch the 6pm news, followed by the 7pm bulletin & 1/2 hour current affairs show every night! It instilled a lifelong hunger for information in me... not so much for the others, it seems

So yes, it can be a bit odd being the 'authority's on something like a global pandemic, or natural catastrophe... you feel like you'd better get the facts right, because they're obviously not going to get their information from any other source!!
