One Night In Shanghai
Aug. 11th, 2005 02:28 pmWell, I’ve just got back to the office after a round trip through the inner western suburbs. You know it’s a good day when you can legitimately stop off at one of your favourite restaurants for lunch on the way back to work, without an outrageous detour!! So, 1 serve of Nan Xiang pork dumplings later, I’m a happy boy.
Is it a bad thing for the restaurant staff to start writing your order before you’ve even sat down? Sure, I have about 6 favourite dishes at the Shanghai Night & I usually start with the Nan Xiang dumplings, but am I really getting that predictable?? Or is it just I’m that much of a regular customer – I’ve been showing up for about 8 years now... & the owner looks younger every year! Hmm...

"You have to be happy with what you have."
