Well, my little corner of it has, anyway... Cyclonic winds... Snow... Rain... All in the space of 10 minutes!!! Sydney was hit by what's being called a 'Mini-Cyclone' yesterday, with a storm cell passing over which brought down trees, dumped torrential rain, took out the electricity to 76,000 homes... then left

I'd just returned to work, walking in the door just as the thunder was booming. By the time I sat down, the street outside was like a scene from Deadliest Catch, with horizontal rain, debris flying everywhere & howling wind. The weird thing was how quickly it then just stopped - not petering out like most storms do, more like someone just flicked a switch... leaving quite a clean-up job in its wake - including a bunch of new spot fires caused by lightning strikes. Just what we needed... Thanks!

That's a lot of weather excitement in a short period of time.

Here, the main highways are fairly clear but the side roads are still solid ice after our foot of snow two days ago. We're something like 19 inches of snow ahead of the norm for this time of the season. My back is still complaining about shoveling slush Tuesday evening.

Man, I'd like to.

Three days after the snow stopped, some of our fairly main roads are still ice packed, with narrow "wagon wheel ruts" of clear pavement.

Hoping you were unscathed?
