waitingmanConsolidating my grip on my 6th decade...
Any birthday that starts in the pre-dawn hour with the discovery of a bottle of single malt scotch on the kitchen bench can't be too bad, can it?
Okay, it was a work day as well, so mostly it was routine chaos, broken by various text messages from nearest & dearest, as well as 3 unidentified numbers - not even L-SP knows who they are... But apparently they wish me well, so... I'll take it!!
My cow-orkers were unaware of the anniversary, which suits me just fine. Given the way they've been carrying on lately, I wouldn't have wanted, or believed, their birthday wishes anyway. How about you treat me with the respect I deserve EVERY day, not just because it's my birthday...
Meeting up with L-SP after work, we headed to a local Nepalese restaurant we've always meant to try, but hadn't yet. We found out they'd been there for 3 years before we'd managed to walk in the door, but it won't be too long before we do it again - great food at reasonable prices & a nice house red...
So now, a nice warm glow, caused & enhanced by single malt scotch & Steely Dan
