Something New...

Not only have I joined the rank & file working Monday - Friday, with weekends off, but this weekend was/is the first one in ages where Long-Suffering Partner & I have had no real plans to go anywhere, see anyone, or do anything. Apart from dinner with 2 friends last night, which had been postponed a few weeks ago. Our Saturday & Sunday have been largely spent catching up on 'Me' time - I mean 'her' time & 'my' time, not mine exclusively...
So in between frustrating blue screens of death on the PC (something that always seems to happen whenever Microsoft automatically updates Windows, whether I want it to or not), while the operating system sorts itself out, I've managed to update my iPod with a few more albums (33 days worth of music & still plenty more room!), so my increasingly frequent bus & train journeys to work can be soundtracked by me, rather than the stürm & drang of the great unwashed & the rattles & bangs of all the construction work going on in Sydney at the moment - which I seem to walk past every single bit of during the commute. Thank your deity of choice & L-SP for my new noise-cancelling headphones - I don't mind wearing such large things over my ears... the music sounds great & I can't hear what anyone says about me looking like a nerd/prat/air-traffic controller anyway...
I also did some work on the little backlog of photos from this year:

Even with the headphones, my ears aren't that big...
Now to the vexing question of which local &/or general café we'll repair to for brunch, as soon as we can be bothered with morning ablutions...
