An Aussie friend told me about funnel web spiders. I wanted no part of them when I visited nor of that little blue-ringed octopus. One sees these things on very interesting nature programs on TV, Fortunately, FW antivenom is now available but avoidance works even better. :)/

I live on Sydney's Northern Beaches - supposedly Funnel-web Central. But in all my time gardening with no gloves & no shoes, I've never even seen one

Even worse, the dogs with bees in their mouth so that when they bark, bees shoot out. ;-)

Especially the little dogs... the ones that get right up in your face before releasing the bees
