A new arrival in the kookaburra nest under our balcony. It was a hot day & he/she was obviously feeling the heat... & there's only so much you can do, when you haven't even grown feathers yet

Yes - the Sydney Summer has hit these last few days, with temperatures soaring, tempers fraying & everybody perspiring. So far, the bushfires have restricted themselves to Western Australia... but it can't be long... Probably a day or so after someone uses the word 'tinderbox' in the media to describe the countryside or bushland

It never fails...

It's a shame Sydney gets hit with such terrible fires.
