So... it's the 100th Anniversary of the ANZAC campaign - a defining, tragic time in Australia's history

And what's the most-read story on the news.com.au website??

When the shops will be open on ANZAC Day

I don't have the words to express how sick this makes me... I only have a bucket

Today I looked parade in Sydney. I was amazing so much people (all ages) were there. Very big impression for me. Sorry for my English.

It's an important day of remembrance for Australia. The military disaster at Gallipoli 100 years ago was the first time our young nation got involved in world affairs... & we got our backside kicked hard

I think it's wonderful that so many people are so supportive & that the day has become a memorial for all the wars & conflicts Australia has been in ever since. It's not a day to celebrate war or military power, it's a time to honour the men & women who died fighting for our right to be called a nation of the world

Which is why I get really angry when it seems more people are worried that the shops will be closed for half a day

Your English was fine... no need to apologise !!
