Funny Ha Ha... Or Funny Peculiar?

Pretty quiet 'round here though, so it's not like my Reader has been missing much. Highlights of the last week or so include being told I was funny by John Bluthal... which is a bit of an honour, really. For me, it's like the compliment came from Spike Milligan, once removed. I was called eccentric tonight too, but not by anyone as noteworthy... & possibly not as complimentary either...
We scored free tickets to the only Sydney show by Michael Rother, Dieter Moebius & Hans Lampe ~ three seminal musicians from the German electronic/ambient/experimental scene of the early 70s. One was in Kraftwerk, two were in Neu! & one was in Cluster, so there was a bit of history on that stage. They played for about an hour & it was great... Like the Aphex Twin show a couple of weeks ago, I didn't recognise any of the music, but, unlike AT, there was a bit more going on melodically that stuck with us for a while longer... & we bought two Neu! albums which I'd last heard on vinyl LP about twenty years ago. Should have bought the other two that were on sale as well, but that's what Amazon's for I suppose.
