Eliot

T.S... the Time-Share Cat... now known as Eliot... because she's such a Practical Cat. Shown here displaying her hatred of cameras, as they distract me from the more important things in life... like serving breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper/elevenpmses...

Also showing no ill-effects from having nearly swallowed a needle & thread which had dropped into her food bowl at one of her other homes. I became concerned when she refused dinner, then breakfast, then dinner again & was drooling from the side of her mouth. After consultation with a neighbour/co-"owner" she was taken to the vet, where the needle was removed from the roof of her mouth & her tongue. I picked her up after an overnight stay for observation & she hasn't looked back... & her appetite resumed with its usual impatience.

Despite the occasional misadventure such as this, I still want to be re-incarnated as a cat next time around. Surely it's a higher life than this one... Certainly most cats seem to think so...

I'm glad your part-time feline is okay.

And awful as it her needle ordeal may have seemed, I'm glad she didn't just quietly swallow a thread without it, as many cats are surprisingly wont to do. That can cause terrible complications, made all the worse by there often not being any sign that something's wrong until things are really dire...

Well, the thread had actually gone down her throat... but because it was still attached to the needle... which was attached to her... the Vet was able to pull it all back out ~ under general anaesthetic, of course!!

She's perched behind me right now, purring away softly... content because I put dinner down for her 15 minutes ago. It's a simple life...

*nod* That's what I figured. Definitely unpleasant, but with it anchored in the mouth like that the chances of some of the really nasty stuff should've been reduced.

Either way, she's okay, and lucky to have decent people as her time-share humans. *smile*
