And a day of returning-to-normal for us ~ which pretty much involved getting up much earlier than either body or mind would prefer & going to work, doing what we must, then both arriving home within minutes of each other, relieved that work was over. Tonight there were no obligations, guests or dramas to accommodate or prepare for, so a gentle evening was gratefully spent.
Dinner was mostly the surplus supplies for/from yesterday's feeding of the football fans. Over-catering has its advantages...
Now, approaching bedtime, not a creature is stirring, not even the elusive mouse of yester-eve. Past experience tells me not to hope that it has gone away into the back yard & yonder wilderness, more likely that it has learned a little more caution & will thus prove more challenging to hunt down...
