So, now that the dust has settled on the US election, the fascistas fashionistas have identified the really important issue & the KKK is already threatening race riots (!?!?!?), it seems everyone is looking to distance themselves from Sarah Palin.

Is Africa a country?

Is 'knowledgeability' a word??

The prank call to Palin mentioned at the end of the second article was startling, and showed rather more about the woman than any sensible political minder would allow. The thing that I found most jaw-dropping was that, as Governor of Alaska, she did not know who the Canadian Prime Minister was. In other words, she patently knew virtually nothing about the *only* foreign nation the state she was responsible for shared a border with.

Gods. Haven't seen that for decades. I'm always struck by the rather strange set design for the MGM musicals of that period, where there is almost a deliberate effort to remind the viewer that the 'natural' set is on a soundstage.
