After deriding Adam Sandler in my Wafflers speech last week, I was taken to see his latest film last night ~ as a kind of penance I thought initially, but I'm pleasantly surprised to report that You Don't Mess With The Zohan is a huge improvement on his last one, that rip-off of the Paul Hogan/Michael Caton film Strange Bedfellows. I laughed... a lot. One for a DVD night (Zohan, not Bedfellows).
I've been rediscovering some mixed-bag CDs I made for myself a few months ago to listen to in OBluV8, then forgot about while Tool's 10,000 Days was on high rotation 'round the city streets. This morning at Debtor's Prison I put one on & Eric Clapton came roaring out of the speakers with 2 songs from his album From The Cradle ~ 5 Long Years & It Hurts Me Too. It reminded me of two things: why I picked up a guitar in the first place & that I must pick one up tonight... & plug it in!!
It's cold, it's raining & I know there's some work I should be doing 'round here... somewhere...
