waitingmanI like to think of it as a pause to reflect... a chance to recharge the batteries & be ready for another year... quality time spent with some one I admire, respect & love - me.
Things have been pretty quiet here the last couple of days, although I have found time to brave the mega-mall again to pick up 3 pairs of pants from the tailor (it took longer to find a parking spot than it did to effect the transaction), catch up with old friends I was meant to see on Christmas Eve & spend time with the 3rd Elizabeth (who I was supposed to see on Christmas Day). But by & large these have been easy times by my usual standards.
I could get used to this.
I could get so used to this, that it may become a Resolution to do more of it in the coming year. A long dreamed-of proposal may be put into action this year & I'll need money. So sitting at home enjoying the creature comforts I spend so much money on, but not enough time with, seems a pretty good, sensible option to me.
Now, breakfast, shower, walk the dog & some DVDs. Any takers??
