... therefore it's an easy assumption to make.

For the benefit of my small-but-select readership (except for Aquandrian's ~ to whom this excerpt was addressed), I'd like to take this opportunity to make a declaration regarding today's earlier post:

I scored as a male brain, but quite interestingly towards the centre ~ as I wouldn't have been surprised to wind up on the 'pink' side.

Not sure what issues such a result & expectations may engender... & prefer not to contemplate them too deeply, actually...

Especially having spent the early part of the evening in the company of the alpha-est of males, who has previously voiced suspicions as to my sexual alignment (they were dispelled) & thusly having been acutely aware of every 'left-field' action & utterance of mine that came entirely naturally, as well as interested to see how they'd be interpreted, despite the aforementioned dispellance(?)

Part of me also doesn't give a s@%t... For the record ~ I'm physically & intellectually hetero... I prefer both the bodies & minds of the human female gender*. Possibly because I think women find these kinds of surveys as amusing as I do & I have to be able to share a joke with someone...

* Sometimes not even in that order...

Recently I've become more aware, or perhaps just more concerned, about how I'm perceived & interpreted. The innate reaction to clarify my... preference... is due either to the small shards of my inner-bloke digging themselves in, or to run-of-the-mill insecurity, or more likely a (mildly) testosterone-fuelled combination of both.

I hope this clears it up... for me at least.

I think this is the first brain or personality test in a very long time wherein I scored significantly female as opposed to androgynous or the occasional mostly male.

I just like people who can keep up XD Brain-ist of me, but if I continually have to explain the obscure references and wierd jokes that come out of my mouth... And I prefer for that brain to be unattached to an unaesthetically pleasing ego :P

It was six questions. Six. One wrong answer, or one right one on the opposing side, would put you "significantly" towards the centre. Plus, I'm not sure that the pattern-matching/object-rotational skills of our brains are affected by the social conventions of gender where-and-whenever we happen to be; if they were, they'd only be indicative of the current social/cultural context.

Also, I have no brain sex. Fear me and my gender-binary-subverting thoughts, or something - just don't misinterpret that sentence the way it's begging to be misinterpreted... *grin*

Yup, no brain-sex for you. All your licentious liaisons, your perverted prowlings, your instinctive impulses, must now be done without thinking about it in the least! Physical, emotional, but no mental connection - the relationship can no longer be based on the meeting of minds and the sharing of thoughts. Let baser habits guide your heart - the matching of clothing colours or the co-incidence of being on the same tram at the same time.

(Besides, wouldn't brain-sex be all sort of ... squishy?)

*lol*

See, it doesn't really surprise me that you would score towards the middle cos, well, creativity ... so much more fluid and intuitive than logical and geometric or whatever. *nod*

I say we just go back to the right brain/left brain thing ... so much nicer than brain sex, ewwwwwwyoupeoplearesick. :p

left brain - right brain - no brain

Another commentor hit it on the head when they pointed out that its only six questions - as if six questions can accurately determine an outcome for such a complicated issue. Its just like the text us a name and your name and we'll tell you if the person is your perfect match - absurd. Free your mind and the rest will follow!

The 6 question quiz was just a jump-off point for the larger issue of others perception.

I never judge books by their cover, but in these days of speed reading, perhaps I need to change my dustjacket.
