And Another One Gone...

I'm not a religious person.
These days I would call myself an Agnostic who lives by a moral code derived mostly from Christianity, but tempered & expanded by bits of Buddhism & any other philosophies/creeds that appeal to me.
That said, I was saddened this morning to read of the recent death of Larry Norman, a pioneer of 'Christian Rock' & the writer of a great song called 'Why Should The Devil Have All The Good Music'. I have 2 of his early 70s albums & like them for not beating me 'round the ears with doctrine & praising, for being spiritual without preaching, all the while being tasty little rock'n'roll records.
He will be missed.

*sigh*
He described so much Christian music as "sloppy thinking, dishonest metaphors and bad poetry". I agree with him thoroughly. (There are few radio stations in Canberra and occasionally I accidentally end up on One Way FM, which is laden with all the bad R&B warblings of the commercial 2-Day style of music.
