Still playing catch-as-can with LJ time. We will return you to normal service as soon as possible...
Lots of conversations & reading over the last fortnight are bouncing around my head, leading me to some conclusions ~ not all of which are good ones.
* I need a holiday to break out of a rut that's sapping my enthusiasm for lots of things, including music, work & leisure time. I need distance, perspective, direction, rejuvenation... reinvention?!... perhaps not.
* After 25 years of playing original music, maybe it's time to stop trying. As Kinky Friedman put it "When the horse dies... get off."
* I need to watch my language ~ not in a profane @#%!! way, but in my everyday attitudes & conversations. Where does one get a wearable, unobtrusive 24hr recording/monitoring device?!
* There are D&M conversations I need to have with a few people, 2 of which make me uncomfortable to think of them (the conversations, not the people). But they are necessary.
Maybe then I can finish other languishing projects that time, lassitude & just plain inefficiency have consigned to the pile of stuff labelled 'Later'.

Don't let yourself obsess about people and things that are getting you down, it doesn't reflect any failing of yours. Move on. Find new friends if need be. Think positively and great things will follow.
