Company Car

Because I've been extra nice to the boss of the company I now work in... we see eye to eye on just about everything... today Long-Suffering Partner & I picked up the new 'work car' for me to drive around in, leaving Laura free at home for L-SP to use as required/wanted/needed

For unknown reasons it has a CB radio in it & an aerial mount on the front bullbar. It took all of 15 seconds for L-SP to find the microphone & start "Breaker breaker"-ing. Fortunately, I hadn't turned anything on yet. I assume the car's previous owner needed the CB for... their own reasons, but I didn't know they were still a 'thing' - not having even seen one since the late 1970s... well, not outside an emergency services office, or airport control tower... but in a little old Hyundai ix35??!!

Friday Five Time

1. What are you going to do this weekend?
Well, we've just done half of it... caught a bus, a train, another bus, then an über to the wonderfully-named 'Smeaton Grange' - an industrial estate about 75kms from home, to pick up a car for me to use for work. Tomorrow is probably a short road-trip day, to get to know the car a bit better, adjust mirrors, seats, sound-system & other important things...

2. What’s your favourite way to spend time?
Too many favourites, not enough time! I like just playing guitar, or recording new music, or listening to/watching music, or taking photos, or post-processing photos, reading, or re-reading books, long, or short, road-trips, being with friends, being with Long-Suffering Partner, being with our cat, or just being alone

3. What’s the most useless thing you own that you would never get rid of?
L-SP & I both have a habit of buying crazy stuff on a whim... Currently, it's probably the electronic drumkit we found on a community website for $100 about 3 months ago & haven't set it up, plugged it in, or played it... yet

4. Have you started planning your next vacation?
It keeps changing with the ebb, but mostly flow of the Plague... We have 2 overseas trips 'planned' but on indefinite hold & various half-formed plans for domestic travels to places like Melbourne, Perth & Uluru

5. Are you very active, or do you prefer to just relax in your free time or is it one and the same to you?
I'm not very active, but I'm not a couch potato either. It really depends on what's been happening in the days leading up to the 'free' time... Sometimes I'm looking forward to going somewhere & doing things, other times I'd just like to go from bed to sofa & eventually back again
