Little Things
Oct. 4th, 2007 09:46 pmThings that made my day...
OBluV8's brakes no longer squeak!!! After a year of being embarrassed to even pull up at a set of traffic lights, I can now do so with the appropriate sneer of the V8 owner & be safe in the certain knowledge that King Crimson on the CD player is louder than the noise my f@%&ing car makes. It's all about freaking people out for the right reasons... & with the right noises.
I've been aided & abetted by Reynardo this evening in matters computerical. You're never really aware of how little you know about some basic programs 'til someone comes along & achieves in 5 minutes what you'd need half an hour for. Suffice to say, my Wafflers meeting in November is now running a lot closer to plan than it was a day ago.
The mechanics/panel-beaters down the road from my job are revisiting the botched colour job they did on OBluV8 for what I'm reasonably assured will be no extra charge & (hopefully) matching the blue hues a bit better than last week. I've been hard put to not play the "I paid $1000 dollars for this, the least you could do..." etc etc... card & will be not a little put out if they charge me any more money. Tomorrow will tell.
The aforementioned Peter Gabriel & David Gilmour DVDs continue to reveal their delights. Plus my King Crimson t-shirt arrived in the mail. Nowhere near as controversial as the last 2 shirts I've bought, but just as personal...

Now begins the game of finding anyone else in the country with one of them!
