All of a sudden, I'm feeling tired. 5 minutes ago, I was fine...

So there goes the weekend. Apart from work ~ looking back at the following:

Friday night was a pizza & DVD night with an old friend/bandmate/co-worker. The lucky sod had been drinking since about 2pm, showed up, sobered up & was dropped home after an entertaining evening.

Saturday night was UnknownB's birthday dinner at Giovanna's in Kensington, attended by the usual suspects & some new friendly faces. Post-prandial drinks at the pub across the road from the restaurant resulted in a mass outbreak of "'Cello Dancing", to the amusement of the bar staff & other patrons.

Maelefic ended up staying overnight at WaitingManor, as he's part of the multi-string army that invaded my place on Sunday afternoon (We now have 3 guitarists on 6 & 12 string guitars, a 12-string Stick player & a 5-string bassist). Having been joined by SarinG during late breakfast at the local & then by UnknownB some time around the end of rehearsal, it was a full house by dinnertime. After a hastily concocted chicken curry & a viewing of Shaun Of The Dead, I posited SG at a pizza place on Oxford St, then dumped M'fic on his doorstep in Dundas, before burning Bridgestones back to Balgowlah.

Today was low-key, but useful. Another late breakfast at the local, a walk home, laundry duty, then I pulled my sound system apart looking for the reasons 1 speaker had cut out & my 5.1 sound has been crap for a couple of weeks. After an afternoon's blasting of a Dream Theater CD & a dinnertime viewing of Team America... it seems I've fixed the problems. A long D&M with my mother, an e-mail training session with my sister, a couple of lengthy phone calls & the latter part of the evening has been spent working out chords & running orders for 6 of my songs, so that M'fic & Ron the BassBeast can figure out what & how to play on them. Given that I use a rather... individual tuning, I don't have names for some of my chords & so it's been an adventure trying to transcribe them. Good luck guys...

One week on the wagon.
