waitingman: (RoadTrip!!)
I hate Sydney roads.

Just returned from a trip out to Bankstown to work with the RokChikz singer/writer/composer/producer/director. 6 of my acoustic pop songs are now occupying her Mac hard-drive. What happens to them now is up to her, but there's talk of forming a band to perform them & others she's written, as well as some of the RokChikz repertoire.

There's always talk of forming some band somewhere... sometime.

Anyway, the trip out there was relatively uneventful, given it was undertaken at the tail-end of peak hour. The only excitement came when a young P-plate driver tried to cut in front of me on the motorway. OBluV8 didn't take kindly to that & we left him flashing his lights & honking his horn in our dust. The real fun was on the way home... the M5 eastbound tunnel was closed ~ which I only found out once I was already on the motorway. so a detour through the southern suburbs brought me back to the M5 at the airport. Only to be kicked off it again in Surry Hills for another detour through the salubrious end of town, trying to get to the Harbour Tunnel (and if that had been closed I'd have SCREAMED!!). And just why is it that nights like that bring out the lame snail-like drivers who somehow manage to get in front of you??!!

End result ~ a journey home that took more than twice as long as the trip out there.

I hate Sydney roads.
