Yep ~ it's been a wet few days 'round here...
Played host to Maelefic & his pride & joy Jana on Saturday night/Sunday for an evening of acoustic guitars, DVDs, food, wine & beer sampling. Followed on Sunday by breakfast at the local, then more acoustic guitars & DVDs. That evening, SarinG & I had dinner at an inner-city Thai place that made the most filling massamun curry I've ever encountered. Until then, I'd never met a curry I couldn't finish... I concede!!
Travelled all over the cityside yesterday in the name of gainful employment, but also found time to drop in on my sick Foil & his sick son to pick up a CD of the previous weekend's multiple-stringed session. 4 separate tracks of about 20 minutes each, containing roughly 5 total minutes of really good ideas & lots of noodling around trying to get to them, or to the next one. No wonder I don't like having an audience at 'jam' sessions... the sounds of snoring would ruin the recording quality!!
And so, back to work. Life's little things are piling up around me, all clamouring to be attended to ~ all small stuff one normally puts off 'til later, but it would seem 'later' has arrived for much of it & so a flurry of activity is called for.
