Friday is meant to be a fish day in some religions, I'm pretty sure.
For me, today was a fish day mainly because of the encore sitting at the Manly Ribs'n'Rumps restaurant last night with SarinG & entourage. Knowing the dinner's location, I was on light rations for the day, yet still managed to walk away from the place feeling like Mr Creosote. No wafer-thin mints pour moi, merci...
As per last time, thank your god for an active day at work. Friday is solo day & invariably turns out to be busier than the other weekdays when I have an offsider to offload the heavy lifting onto... except there's seldom any. So, of course, what did I spend the day doing??!! If this keeps up, I'll be able to armwrestle Hulk Hogan.
My foil has sent me 17 (count 'em) links to Public Service jobs both State & Federal for my perusal. In the absence of decent private sector options, these are most welcome & will make for interesting reading & writing over the weekend. The one good thing about the Public Service is ~ your job doesn't depend on which party is in power & even if it does, there are time-honoured &, above all, legislated safeguards to prevent some politician getting rid of you on a whim or whiff of a budget cut. Definitely a path worth looking down... & mapping!!
Looking forward to a musical & productive weekend.
