An interesting night... but more about that later.

In the meantime, have a gander at the concert rider for Iggy Pop & The Stooges, courtesy of The Smoking Gun website & snaffled from LederHosen. It's 18 pages of reasons why years of loud rock'n'roll is good for you!!

Good Night.

So, last night was meant to be a quiet night in... or at least a short & quiet night out.

Or not, as a part of the going out plan involved seeing 300 at Imax ~ which was never going to be a quiet event.

Anyway, SarinG & I wound up in a new (for us) Indian restaurant in Glebe, where both our particular cravings were amply sated, many things were discussed &, just for a change, no desserts were ordered. By the appointed session time, we didn't feel like making the trek to Darling Harder Harbour, so we thought we'd check out the local wildlife at the Friend In Hand pub down the road.

Wildlife is indeed what we found. We happened to walk in at the finish of heat 2 of the night's crab racing & while our drinks were being poured, we were invited to put our names to 2 of the crabs in the next & final heat. So we did. Of course, come the heat, neither of our crabs budged a smegging inch, while others moved as if the course was electrified (don't worry, it wasn't!!). If failed racehorses go to the glue factory, where do sluggish crabs go ~ apart from 'not very far at all'.

Anyway, nary a dull moment for the hour or so we were there & we promised ourselves we'd be back there in a week for the full carnival from 8.30pm. Might I suggest a meeting of the core elements of the foodies ~ SarinG, Maelefic, Dorukai, UnknownB & any other readers/bloggers who want an evening of unadulterated fun. After all, it's in Glebe, where there's something decent to eat every 5 feet along Glebe Pt Rd. Dying of malnutrition or botulism is extremely unlikely.

Waffling tomorrow night, then working all weekend. @#%*^@#!!!!!
