Out & About

An interesting day.

I was "sounded out" about the possibility of taking over management of the outdoor furniture place I'm working in, as the current manager (not the hobbit, unfortunately) has been accepted into the ranks of paramedical rescue & will shortly be moving on. My answer was simple ~ How much will I get paid??!!

No answer yet... the hobbit's away in the US, so we'll see what happens when he's been there & back again.

Dinner tonight with SarinG at my favourite Chinese restaurant & thence to Mrs Macquarie's Chair on Sydney Harbour, for an experiment in night photography. My poor little camera didn't like it much, not having exposure adjustment or optical focus, but its shortcomings produced some interesting shots regardless.

Another Saturday Night...

An unexpected night in. Not at all unwelcome given the dire level of the bank account & the low energy level at the end of the working week. So, it's me, The Mummy, a free bottle of white wine, home-cooked curry, cheesecake & CD burning... oh... & apple liqueur yummy!!!

A flying visit from Reynardo today, as I was waiting in line at the local chicken vittles shop (I drew the short straw for lunch pick-up duty). A hug, a kiss, a promise to catch up & she was gone... Otherwise a non-event working day.
