New toy Saturday... with varying results.

New larger memory card for the camera. Result: lots of photos - very happy!!

New whizzbang LCD touchscreen, macro-programmable, multi-device remote control. Meant to replace increasing number of remotes in the 'Manor's loungeroom (they appear to be breeding!!). Result: Lack of some basic functions for units, instructions in broken (smashed!!) English, very short on actual instruction, codes that should do stuff... but don't, indignant conversations with smarmy salespeople, telephone number for technical support... available only from Monday to Friday. ggnnggnnggrrrrrr...

DVD of latest D. Cronenberg film A History of Violence. Result: Great film!! LOTS of extras - possibly more than you need if you're not a film student...

2 rehearsals tomorrow... today! Time for bed...

Have Guitar, Will Travel

Well, that weekend went quickly.

Friday night - drinks with an erstwhile guitarist & work colleague, sorting out the problems of the world & lamenting the lack of opportunities to play together any more... but marriage, kid(s) & your own business to mind will do that.

Today was rehearsal day for 2 upcoming gigs. JoshuaLee are playing the Mandarin Club on 11/11 (next Saturday) at 8pm... only a half-hour set, so you're free to to what (or who) you will after about 9pm.

After 6 hours musical trial & error for that, off to Redfern to meet with ZenSiren, who I'm now doing about 5 songs with, at the Hollywood Hotel, on Wednesday night - as opposed to 2 1/2 songs last week... guess they liked my playing.

And so, to bed.
