All my ex-girlfriends are getting married...

I attended one such wedding earlier this week & have just received an e-mail invitation to "celebrate the recent marriage..." of another to her beau of the last few years, who's combining his 40th birthday with the nuptial party.

Don't get me wrong - I have nothing but warm thoughts & best wishes for them. I know the grooms quite well & can't really fault either of 'em.

But, sometimes - on a cold, quiet night at home with "a bottle of wine & Patsy Cline..." one's thoughts turn inward... & backward.
