The double effect of a long weekend & not having a working week to set the internal calendar by...
At least the latter is going to change come next Monday, although for better or worse will be a long time in the telling. 5 weeks to be precise - if the ranch manager pays on time, which I've been told he doesn't always.
All of which won't overly matter if I can sell Auric the Pre-Millennium Falcon some time in the next week. I had high hopes of doing so over the long weekend, but Cumberland Classifieds managed to scupper that plan by putting 'Attention' at the top of my ad, unasked, but paid, for. Which means that my ad for a Ford Falcon went under 'A', which is, of course, where everybody looks for Fords... After an indignant phone call to their offices on Saturday morning, when I couldn't find my ad ( I was looking under 'F'... how silly of me...), I'm told there will be a refund during the week & the accounts people will call me when they're back at work. Bugger that! I just want to sell the car... how about a free ad!!
Otherwise, it's been an uneventful few days. Saw Marty Willson-Piper of the Church (the band, not the institution) do a solo show in Newtown on Friday night - passable & a wee bit pretentious, but still an engaging performer... Writing session with Gemma yesterday - met her new bloke, who's apparently worried about my (working) relationship with her. That's for those 2 to sort out...
A little Ra worship today & later some guitar practice & songwriting, before the Godfather Pt III tonight.
I wonder what the (other) poor people are doing?
