Once More Into The Breach

Backtracking... Friday - A birthday party full of people I either hardly knew, or didn't know. An interesting time ensued. Highlight: A coked, drunken argument between 5 people about applying positivist principles to social sciences & the (im)practicalities thereof.
Saturday - The Wallabies wipe the turf of Telstra Stadium with the Italian rugby team. A housewarming party full of people I didn't know, or hadn't seen in ages & ones I hold dear. And the dog... A well-fed time ensued. Highlight: apart from the pyrotechnicalities of firelighting, which I unfortunately missed, probably Silverblue's eclectic i-tunes session - as detailed by Lederhosen... or seeing the reactions virgin viewers had to 'Plan 9 From Outer Space'. The (unintentional) horror, the (incredulous) horror!!
Sunday - Rehearsal with G for next week's rodeo gig & fine tuning our own songs. Heard from an atypical drummer about his drunken attempt to emulate Keith Moon & climb 7 storeys up the outside of a building to his locked apartment... ending, the way these stories always do, in the hospital - having fortunately fallen from a non-shattering height. A cautionary tale for Da Norvegicus... learn to program drum machines instead, kid... it's safer... & more lucrative in the long run... or take out the best private health care you can afford.
