A strange, musical weekend...

Practice with the new band on Friday night - the first time the prospective complete line-up has been in the same room together. Disagreements about direction & material arose immediately, culminating in the greatest 'never-were-hits' of Cathedral St (R.I.P. 1991-94) being played by 3/5s of the band - one fifth unwillingly... guess who? Commitment issues were also raised, with the bass player already a father, owner of a business & about to be a father again, it's not the best time to go chasing rock'n'roll dreams that may have passed by...

A strained triangle exists between the 2 guitarists & the singer. I kind of know why, but don't really want to get involved any further... I've been badly burned enough this year...

Home by 2.30am - the downside of practising in Maraylya. Sober - the further downside of... etc...

Sunday - more drum programming... joy!! At least we managed more than 3 hours worth this time & finished the song we've been working on for a month now. The afternoon also showed me I need to practice guitar more often.

Storm clouds are gathering... I think I'll take shelter underground
