Goth Almighty!!
Oct. 1st, 2004 12:10 amWell, home... smelling of cigarette smoke & other substances, tired, slightly drunk & stoned (guess the proportions), but pretty happy with the gig.
For the Industrial type Goths out there... Club 77 on William St Kings Cross is the place for you on a Thursday night. Tonight's gig was a celebration/benefit for community station 2RRR - & in particular, it's goth Sunday program called Sacramental... or something like that... Hosted by DJ Leigh. Her between-bands sets were great... loved the thing she played after we finished - a Sydney band apparently... but couldn't quite catch the name. Look out for 'em & do yourself a favour...
According to one very tall, blonde floppy-fringed pretty Goth boy, we were awesome tonight. Which must be true... he was leaving during the next band's set... Ha ha! In fact, the band that followed us were so LOUD, that I was literally blown out the door by 'em. The only reason I didn't leave during their set, was that the guitarist had set one of his amps up on top of mine, so I had to stay. Not that they were bad... just, did I mention, LOUD!!!!!
Before us tonight were a gothic Sugarcubes... only louder... & the girl's voice wasn't as good as Bjork's... & the shouty bloke wasn't as interesting as Einar was... & that's saying something... & they were louder...
I had a great night!!!!!... I'm just deaf & tired... & possibly... old... oh dear...
