A One In A Million Shot

I'm feeling very lucky tonight. Lucky that I don't have a broken nose, or a missing tooth, or even a fat lip after being hit in the face by a pretty substantial piece of stainless steel with a sharp edge this afternoon.
To (try to) cut a long story short, I was moving a large outdoor pizza oven from one side of the showroom to the other. This thing has 2 doors on the front ~ the oven door & the firebox door, which open downwards like an oven (naturally!), neither of which are latched to keep them closed. I had opened both, as I knew they'd fall open as soon as we moved the unit. The clueless staffmember who tried to help me closed the doors again. Being all business-like & efficient, I didn't notice... until the oven door fell open in my face as soon as I started moving it all... & hit my upper lip. Hard.
How it missed my nose, I don't know. How it didn't knock a tooth loose, I don't know. How I didn't let loose a tirade of profanity... well I do know ~ because there are some pains that words can't express as succinctly as a sharp intake of breath & some deliberate walking in circles 'til the world stops spinning. Just as there are some acts of abject stupidity that you can't apologise for... as I carefully explained to the aforementioned staffmember, after my lip stopped bleeding.
It's not like I needed a sign that I have to leave my current job, but it worries me that these signs will continue to appear... & escalate in intensity until I do get out of there!! First cuts, bruises & a near-miss. Now this... what next??!!
How long do you have to be signed up for private health care before you can claim on it?
