So, yesterday I fell off the wagon into the arms of Laphroaig during rehearsals with the multi-string army ~ henceforth to be known as Theme Dreader.

Premise: That I had a few scotches under my belt by the time we were all tuned up & ready to go, contributed to the fact that it was the most productive rehearsal we'd had to date. It's been a crappy week for one reason or another & it was nice to be able to relax & concentrate on music for a few hours.

Question: Could I have had as enjoyable & productive a time without the aid of single-malt scotch taking the edge off the day?

Now that I've ended my dry spell at 5 weeks, will I be able to resist falling back into old drinking habits, given my tolerance level doesn't seem to have been affected by the layoff ~ I also shared a bottle of red wine during Fellowship Of The Ring (extended version) & was quite capable of co-ordinated movement & speech when the credits rolled.

Time will tell.

Doesn't sound so much like a fall as a slow, deliberate walk when the time was right.

So should I not now mention a bundle of bottles I have that need drinking?
