Rainy Days & Fridays

The rain & cold don't bother me too much, although it is a high-ceilinged, pre-fab, tin-roofed cavern that retains none of the heat being put out by the wood fire & gas heater I have going ~ which is strange, given that this place heats up like an oven in summer. I remember an erstwhile co-worker telling me that it gets cold here in winter & I thought then that I wouldn't be here long enough to find out... C'est la merde.
Though... as always, things are afoot to change my working, shivering environment. In the meantime, inbetweentime, I have EmmyLou Harris, Alison Krauss, Kate Miller-Heidke & Leonard Cohen to keep me company & serenade the rainy day away
More power-loss adventures at WaitingManor last night, the fuse that runs the powerpoints decided it needed replacing right in the middle of Hamish Macbeth ~ a sure way to get my attention. A little playing around with fuse wire & a small screwdriver & hey presto!! I was back in the Scottish highlands within 15 minutes, before heading out to dinner with the returned European exile Dorukai as well as SarinG, CheekyMika & friends. I must say that though pizza & souffle sounds an odd combination, it worked out quite well. Compliments to the chef.
Must play some guitar tonight.
