I'm currently enjoying my Sunday ~ trawling & Photoshopping my way through the results of yesterday's shooting safari on North Head & Shelley Beach.

On the way up to North Head, SarinG, OBluV8 & I were stuck behind an army truck delivering some large generator-looking thing to the former base on the headland. Given that the truck was travelling at about 20km/h, first opportunity I found, we turned off the main road & took a detour around other headland roads before coming back & (hopefully) getting a clear run onto the headland National Park.

No such luck...

Click on the image to enlarge it, but there's a sign next to the (former) archway that says 'Maximum Height 3.4m'.

We must have missed the excitement by about 30 seconds... there were sandstone boulders all over the truck, its cargo & the ground. I'll bet it made quite an impressive noise.

I don't often take photos with people in them, but this was too good to resist...

We saw them trundling down the Pac Highway on Sunday morning. Wondered where they were going - and more importantly where they had come from.
