Indulging My Inner Geek

waitingmanEvery month, I receive 2 DVDs from a mail order company. Each contains 3 episodes of Star Trek - The Next Generation, as well as a half-fantasy/half-fact booklet &, occasionally, a trinket/memento such as a badge, or a cap etc...
Whilst the booklets & the mementos usually get recycled or donated to clothing bins, I find that 20 years after first seeing the show, I'm still really enjoying it. I never liked the original Trek, nor have any of the other spin-offs (DS9, Voyager et al) ever twigged, or maintained, my interest (although 7of9 in Voyager was rather... special).
So, a peaceful night in tonight, with the first of the 2 latest instalments And I'm not (too) ashamed to admit I loved all 3 episodes.
In work-related news, the hobbit has returned from his journey. As far as he has told, it consisted of various rollercoaster & other theme park rides across the USA... I just nodded enthusiastically (I hope...). The other manager officially resigned today, so we'll see what happens ~ what offers will, or won't, be made & what they'll be worth.
Otherwise, I'm still waiting on the results of the last fortnight's interviews.
Waiting, waiting, waiting... anyone sensing a theme here??!!
