The Creature Of Leisure

waitingmanMy day... mine, mine, mine.
Having, I think, reached some kind of minor burn-out point by the end of the working week, a day of recharging was absolutely necessary. No phones, no e-mails, no schedule, no racing around catching up with everybody but myself... just a day to do as much, or as little, as I wanted.
So, today's activity comprised a walk to the local inner-harbour beach, lying in the sun for about 90 minutes (no swimming - the water was brown, due to a week's worth of rain run-off), walking home, abluting & going to my local for a couple of hours & a couple of Guinnesses... then a couple more. Home, dinner, wine, DVD & now a Dorothy L Sayers novel 'til sleep arrives.
If only tomorrow could be like this, but there are band practices to have for gigs to play & therefore a lot of running around after errant singers & drummers to look forward to. I hope it will be raining - seems a shame to waste another sunny day...
