waitingmanWell, it didn't dawn bright & sunny, so it wasn't so bad having to get up earlier than normal to be at work before anyone with the keys had arrived. That was the last time I was early for anything the whole day... the rain & extra traffic saw to that. I had to be all over the city - & it seemed everyone else in a car did too.
Driving home this evening there were rivers running down most of the streets into gutters & stormwater drains that are only going to dump it all in the Harbour... which doesn't need the water. Yet, apparently, only 10mm fell in the catchment areas today. If man can invent reverse-cycle air conditioning, can't we reverse & recycle stormwater?? If we can create clear drinking water from our sewerage, surely there's a simple way to do the same with rain run-off??
A task for greater minds than mine... Me, I'm off to make curry...
