Max Brenner is an evil man...

I've just been to his cafe on Manly Wharf with SarinG. It reminds me of the Goodies episode in the lighthouse where everything's round ~ except at Max's place, everything's BROWN!!!

I was only half joking when I suggested we head for McDonalds afterwards for a large serve of their incredibly salty fries. However, we resisted the urge ~ as I'm resisting the urge to open a bottle of red wine now, at home.

Earlier, I spent 3 hours wandering 'round the local megamall picking up bits'n'pieces for Monday. The experience did nothing to dispel my impression that your basic human being is a herd animal. The annoying thing is, I have to go back there tomorrow, to buy the things for me that I forgot about during all the shuffling, jostling, bumping, queueing queuing cuing lining up & spending. It'll probably take me longer to find a parking spot, than it will to buy the things I need from the shop I passed by 4 times today, but didn't go in...

"... How sweet, to be an idiot..."

Whereas I will be home Saturday and Sunday, and would love to see either or both of you, depending on who's free. I'll be doing the headless chook routine cleaning for Monday, and cooking, so would welcome the chance to sit down with a drink.

Except for when we hit the fish market, which will be probably about midnight Saturday.
