How Many Words For 100 Pictures??

A rainy Saturday night ~ just the ticket for staying at home, performing guitar maintenance & catching up with the latest episode of House.

I feel that a night of nothing is just reward for facing a phobia today... I had my photo taken about a hundred times, if not more. Full credit to sarin_girl though, she just let me play guitar in a few locations around WaitingManor & unobtrusively snapped away, never once complaining about the ragged nature of the music. There were times I almost forgot she was there.

I mean that in a good way...

I'm not sure that the experience has gone any way towards changing my chronic avoidance of cameras (when they're pointed at me anyway) ~ I can't see myself posing for 'happy snaps' any more willingly than I haven't for years now. I've requested that the only photos I see from the session are close-ups of the guitars... well, they are rather nice ones!!

I did another dangerous thing today, I went into a music store.

Ostensibly to buy some new cables ~ which I did... but also walked out with a reasonable quality djembe for a very reasonable price. Which means tomorrow afternoon's recording session in the Outhouse will be a little more involved, as I want to try some percussion ideas on the new piece I've written. Just because I now can.

But somewhere between my leisurely Sunday breakfast & my Outhouse session, I've been pressganged into a garden relocation working bee in Redfern. It's a fairly lush & dense rooftop jungle out there... here's hoping the weather is kind to us.

How about Wednesday?? The sugar high from this afternoon's post-photo recovery session (at Max Brenner's Chocolate Cafe at Manly Wharf) should have worn off by then.

Bugger... I declined Wafflers this morning, but was thinking of having a break from the dinner suit this month anyway.
