And so, the Movement Against My Move to Melbourne rallies its numbers & opens its campaign...

Operating on 2 fronts - the personal & the musical - the Mammmys, as they shall be known, have begun firing shots across my bows to make me change course. I would imagine that, as the middle of the year (my provisional departure date) draws closer, their numbers will swell by at least another 2 & more & varied battles shall be waged.

I knew it was coming - just not this soon...

In other news, my newest collaborator found out about my photo-phobia in no uncertain terms this evening. She's promised to never try again - which is all I ask. Now if only I could get everyone else to respect my wishes on that subject, I'd be a happy boy.

I can't understand why people insist on making me pose for a photo, when it's blindingly obvious that I don't want to. You wouldn't force someone to smoke... or drink... skydive, or anything else they'd be uncomfortable with. You wouldn't force someone to go against their religious, moral or philosophical beliefs (no matter how much the Government may want you to...), so why... I ask WHY am I continually harrassed, bullied & almost physically forced into posing for someone else's happy snap??!! Does it make them feel powerful, knowing they now have a picture of me looking either extremely uncomfortable, or extremely annoyed??

Don't get me wrong - cameras are wonderful things. I own a good one. But, in accordance with my futile embargo, I only take photos of views or objects & have been known to wait ages for people to move away &/or out of my shot.

I just wonder why other people get so upset when I move out of theirs. Most people's bullshit answer is that a photo is a record... a memory. Well, again - how important is it for you to have a photo of me looking pissed off? Is that really the way you want to remember me??

I'm not trying to offend anyone when I move away from a camera. So why offend me by chasing me with one?
