You bet your life we are...

I wish I knew which song that's been paraphrased from. Back in the 70's when Triple J was just a double, there was a DJ who used to play this song by a call & response chorus of dour-sounding northern English blokes "Today's Monday, today's Monday, Monday is washing day, is everybody happy?" & the chorus would respond with... as above. There was a different thing about each day & it would count back to Monday at the end of each verse - Partridge In A Pear Tree-style. I think Tuesday was soup...

Anyway, as the title suggests, I've been to the best little Chinese restaurant in Sydney tonight. I'm full, happy & it only cost me $15.00. Which pretty much makes up for the fact that I'm still really tired & all I really wanted to do tonight was come home, potter around for a couple of hours & retire for the night with my sore feet & Terry Pratchett. Thanks to Joshua (I'm the leader, I'm the leader, I'm the leader of the band, I am), I'm doing exactly that... just 3 1/2 hours later than planned. Mustn't grumble - he had news of another gig for us on October 7. So that's 2 coming up for Joshua (man & band), within a week of each other & 2 days after I get back from Melbourne. Have I mentioned I'm reeeaaalllyyy looking forward to going to Melbourne?? I'm sure I may have...

Been limping around today, 'cause I woke up with a strain or something in one of the muscles around my right hip. Nearly fell over this morning when I got out of bed quickly, put my weight on my right leg & it just went "Oh no you don't." And my feet are feeling bruised from a lot of walking over the weekend. Christ, I sound like Marvin "... & then there's the terrible pain in all the diodes down my right side... but does anybody listen..?"

The best, most economically & gastronomically satisfying Chinese restaurant in this town, is on Liverpool Rd in Ashfield - just opposite Ashfield Mall, just around the corner from Ashfield station.

No, they're not paying me to say this... no, they're not holding anything of mine for ransom... I just REALLY like the place.

Can I have my discount vouchers now...?
