waitingmanAs I texted to Reynardo earlier today - the first faltering steps of the new year are taken... & I haven't fallen yet.
Support continues to firm for my relocation some time this year. My closest friend (& erstwhile collaborator) in Melbourne says come on down SAP. Given the precarious nature of my employment in Sydney, that's a hard offer to refuse. As things stand, though.. I'll be down there in the 2nd week of February to begin my reconnaissance for accommodation & a suitable income provider. We'll see how things progress either to or from there.
Certainly several of my current situations aren't doing much to recommend staying here.
As a side effect, the great 'Purge of Stuff' continues here at home. The place looks like a Millers Storage warehouse after a cyclone - dilapidated & unsteady piles of surplus books, CDs, videos, clothes & sundry curios abound. The most difficult thing to do will be getting rid of stuff that's not actually mine - there are many things in my cupboards that belong to my most recent ex. Given that was now 6 years ago & we haven't spoken since last April, it should be an easy load to shift. And yet... something tells me that the day after I make trips to the tip & the Salvos, that's when she'll call, looking for some item or other.
Meanwhile... my deconstruction, reconstruction & realignment continues at a kind of painful pace. ZenSiren will read this & smirkingly say I told you so...
And so she did... but I had further to go.
